Gaming Servers blocklist

Keep game services reachable for players while giving operators a current list for exposed administration and query edges.

The coverage

What our sensors observed

Our sensors saw probes against multiplayer servers, server discovery, remote consoles, and game voice services. This coverage includes player facing endpoints and the administration interfaces operators maintain.

Why use this feed

A public game server must still accept players and discovery traffic. Remote consoles, query endpoints, and voice services have different access needs, so review scanner sources at each edge before adding a deny rule. A server proxy or firewall can pull the updated list without editing every game instance. Test the rule against normal player connections and keep operator sign in controls in place.

The challenges

Scanning can reveal a reachable service before an exploit attempt, whether a flaw is known or still undisclosed. Our sensors record sources doing that probing. A firewall rule using the feed can deny a listed source before its next connection reaches your service, without needing to recognize the exploit itself.

Queries reveal servers

Probes can find game query interfaces and remote consoles alongside the ports players use.

Consoles need early defense

If a reachable console has a weakness, waiting to see an exploit in that server log leaves the interface open.

Before another game log

A proxy or firewall can filter a listed source before it reaches the next game instance.

What happens at your edge

Connect the feed to your firewall to block listed sources.

Where this feed fits

Use the observed source list where your existing edge controls meet these reachable services.

Put the list in front of reachable server consoles. Keep operator sign in and permissions in place.

Review scanner sources around public server query interfaces. Confirm the rule still lets players discover a server.

Apply the feed at voice service edges and check the rule against the clients that need to connect.

Use the list around exposed login services without treating normal player connections as scanner evidence.

Review the list at the firewall serving public game traffic. Test any blocks against the connections players need.

Apply one updated list at a proxy serving several game worlds. Operators can manage exceptions there instead of editing every server.
